About LifeSeeds Summer Camp
At LifeSeeds, We Follow Three Simple Rules:
Do the right thing
Always do your best
Be nice to others
We compete, we play, we laugh, we learn, and we grow together. And most importantly, LifeSeeds is a place where everyone is safe, valued, and loved.
A Typical Day at LifeSeeds
Opening Ceremonies
Camp begins with opening ceremonies which usually include a word of the day, motivational thought or story, birthday recognition, counselor fun, trivia, and a camp-wide warm-up.
Morning Session
After the morning ceremony, campers may participate in a pride group activity or move into their respective sports camps. Morning sports typically include fundamental instruction, situational drills, and fun games and competitions.
Mid-Day
The middle part of the camp day includes a pride group activity, lunch, and possibly a guest speaker/entertainer. The order of these activities varies based on time, weather, and the nature of presentations. Guests may include athletes, coaches, or professional entertainment like the Hip Hop Handbook and Jungle Joe’s Animal Junction.
Afternoon Session
The afternoon sports session allows campers to apply the skills covered in the morning and compete in fun and challenging games. Some afternoons include water-related activities which may include Castle Assault, The Bucket Relay, and Save the Rubber Duck.
Closing Ceremonies
Our camp day ends with a spirited, high-energy, and often motivational closing ceremony. In what has become a wonderful tradition at LifeSeeds, closing ceremonies include medals for the Camper(s) of the Day in each sports camp. When time permits, a counselor competition may be included, which is always a crowd favorite!
The final act of each camp day is one of the unique components of LifeSeeds that adds to the special nature of the experience. Each camper makes a connection with their counselors and coaches for a thank you and good-bye. It’s a time when everyone feels the love and compassion that is so much a part of LifeSeeds!
