  • Dave Burton, Camp Director

    Dave Burton

    DIRECTOR

    Dave Burton founded LifeSeeds in 2001 with the goal of providing opportunities to improve collaboration and trust among team members and create a more positive and productive work environment.

    Dave is an alumnus of Virginia Commonwealth University where he received his B.S. in Education. He also earned his Master’s Degree in Leadership Development from St. Joseph’s University.

    A lifelong educator, Dave taught and coached for over 30 years, including health, leadership, and motivational courses at both the high school and collegiate levels. Dave is also the founder and director of LifeSeeds Summer Camp, which serves over 800 kids each summer.

    Dave loves serving and helping others discover their purpose as both individuals and teams.

    Through LifeSeeds, Dave and his team design and present team building and leadership programs that are both unique and inspirational.

  • Leah Matusow, Assistant Camp Director

    Leah Matusow

    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

    Leah Matusow is the Assistant Director at LifeSeeds Summer Camp and a health and physical education teacher at Upper Dublin High School, where she also coaches basketball and softball.

    Leah earned her Master’s Degree in Leadership Development from Penn State. She was heavily involved in student activities and served in a variety of leadership positions during her time at Penn State.

    Leah has played and coached basketball internationally, winning 3 gold medals in the Maccabi Games. She is currently an AAU coach for Lexie Gerson Basketball. Leah is passionate about leadership and team building and loves to see individuals, groups and teams find their passions, engage in meaningful conversations, and discover their strengths through problem-solving initiatives.

Work at Camp

Are you interested in doing work this summer that is rewarding and fun? Then LifeSeeds Summer Camp may be a great fit for you!

  • A counselor’s day is filled with high-energy activities, opportunities to engage and mentor young campers, and many uplifting moments of joy.

    As a counselor, you are a part of the LifeSeeds Family and will feel the love, support, and encouragement that fills each day at camp.

    A typical day for counselors is from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm. Some days you will get wet, other days you will be tired, but every day you will be hugged and loved beyond measure!

    Requirements:

    • Completed 10th grade

    • Are positive, enthusiastic, patient, kind, and hard-working

    • Agree to follow the ‘Do Right’ Principles

      • Do the right thing

      • Always do your best

      • Be nice to others

  • In addition to the traditional experience of attending camp, CIT’s will also be designated as Pride Group Captains, participate in Counselor Trainings and Meetings, enjoy counselor breakfasts and lunches, and receive special training sessions.

    All CIT’s will register as campers, but will pay a discounted rate of $295 per week.

    Parent/Guardians of all registered CIT’s will receive a health and safety questionnaire to be completed prior to their first day of camp.

    Requirements:

    • Receive medical clearance to attend camp

    • Have completed 9th grade and are at least 15 years old

    • Register as a camper

      • Register as a camper (paying the $50 deposit for each week only) and then send an email to lifeseedsorg@gmail.com. We will adjust your balance to reflect the CIT rate. Please complete and return the CIT Application within ONE week of registering.
