About Dave Burton

Dave spent his first two years in education as a teacher and coach at a small school that served children with specific learning disabilities. It was there that he was introduced to some of his greatest teachers- his first students. He felt blessed by his experience and the opportunity to work with children who had not often experienced success and a sense of achievement. Seeing the greatness in those students was a powerful lesson for Dave- that greatness lies within us all.

After teaching at a second private school in the Richmond area for several more years, Dave came to Cheltenham, PA, in 1996 to teach in the School District of Cheltenham Township. In 1998, he earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership from St Joseph’s University. Dave founded LifeSeeds in 2000 in an effort to create more opportunities to help people – young and old alike – reach their potential.

In addition to teaching and coaching lacrosse at Cheltenham High School, Dave has taught graduate-level courses through the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit as well as The Learning Institute at St. Joseph’s University. Dave has shared his passion and enthusiasm for education, leadership, and positive thinking with schools and organizations from Ohio to North Carolina. Dave and his family reside in Montgomery County, PA.
